EU-GCC Collaboration Forum is a platform to organize joint events between GCC and EU organizations in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation. The main objective is the industrial and academic engagement and collaboration to disseminate and deploy latest result of Research, Technology, Development and Innovation (RTDI) projects in both sides and to explore mutual interest for further cooperation.The first event is planned to be in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and could be a starting point for a long-term collaboration between the “European RTD Project Leaders” (EPL) and the “Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF)”. Holos Company, a leading technology provider in Europe, and it is the European promotor and ASTF is the strategic partner in GCC.
The main objective for this event is to introduce latest trends in market related to ICT based on European project results and understand how it can change our life, business and society. This could help to understand and be an active player in coming world. Also expanding the network and finding high quality partners from GCC / MENA Region for future European RTD Framework (Horizon 2020) calls is one of the objectives. The Forum will support the Gulf Countries to further develop their national innovation systems with particular focus upon ICT latest trends and will help identify opportunities for regional cooperation.
Be part of one of the biggest research programs worldwide with a total budget close to €80 billion. The European Project Leaders Association could be a way towards it.
